This weekend Melissa's parents took us to Roy's in San Diego. What a delicious restaurant. It's called Hawaiian Fusion food, which basically means they do lots of amazing fish dishes and sushi. They also have incredible steaks. It was a night for indulgence and that is exactly what we did...
All you can eat edamame
Jalapeno Ponzu Hamachi - Ruby Red Grapefruit, Hamachi, Avacado Panzu, Apple Mustard Emulsion
Vietnamese Lumpia & Bibb Lettuce Wrap - Green Papaya, Mint, Basil, Citrus Nam Pla
Maine Lobster Bisque - Brandy and Cream
Tender Braised Beef Short Ribs - Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Natural Braise Sauce
Grilled Filet - "Loaded" Red Bliss Potatoes, Shiitake Mushroom Pan Sauce
And finally, Melting Hot Chocolate Souffle - Flourless Chocolate Cake with a molten hot center served with Vanilla Bean icecream.
Needless to say, it was an amazing meal. You can go ahead and chalk Roy's up on my top 10 favorite places to eat, period. Thank you Diane and iJeff.
